Tons of valuable raw materials are transported to and from industries daily, and travelers increasingly choose trains to travel climate-smart. However, the increased traffic, long distances, and varying weather conditions mean additional wear and tear on the wheels that are supposed to keep rail traffic moving. Quality must be ensured at every stage.

At Duroc Rail, we keep the wheels rolling

For over 100 years, we have worked with the maintenance of railway wheels. We deeply understand how Northern Sweden's harsh winters, with temperatures below -30, affect the life span of the wheels. Each pair of wheels is serviced with the highest accuracy to reach quality standards and can be stored close to our property to be available all year round.

Our services

We take overall responsibility for handling our customers' railway wheels and adapt the service agreement to your conditions and needs.

Wheel maintenance

We work with the entire value chain, from planning and purchasing to repair and assembly. We work with most types of railway wheels and maintain approximately 11,000 pairs of wheels annually.

Renovation of rolling stock

We refurbish all types of rolling stock for the railway and process industry. All work is carried out in our workshop by employees trained by SKF and Timken.

Transportation and logistics

We organize transport to and from the workshop by railway carriage or truck. For cross-border transport, we help resolve customs issues.

We are a circular business

Freight and passenger transport on rails has a very low environmental impact. In addition, our residual metal products are melted down in the steel mills to be used again. We are grateful to be able to contribute to a more sustainable world.
